Large-scale Moscow's Attacks Eliminate Electricity In Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have faced escalating attacks in the past few days

During the night, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have resulted in electricity outages in extensive areas of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were injured while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and encountered disruption to water supplies, as stated by municipal leaders.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a different aerial attack in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, according to area administrators.

Moscow has intensified assaults on electrical systems over the past few days, while the country's government has demanded "substantial measures" from international partners to apply pressure on Russia.

"What's needed is not window dressing but firm measures - from the US, European nations and the major economies - in delivering protection systems and enforcing sanctions," he wrote in a online statement.

He said that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and several dozen rockets targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, characterizing such attacks as "strategic and deliberate" and against "essential services" as winter approaches.

The energy minister said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and repair crews were working to fix the damage.

A wave of strikes damaged power facilities and residential structures in Kyiv.

Multiple people hurt in the strikes on the city have been hospitalized, according to local officials.

Local officials said the city came under heavy assaults throughout the evening. A seven-year-old child lost their life and three other people were injured.

The strikes come after evenings of air raids in the area, sections of which are currently controlled by invading troops.

The entire country is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are harder to spot.

Government officials told the media that Russia was purposely seeking to destroy the country's energy grid, with strikes already impacting gas facilities.

Officials stated utility staff and authorities were preparing for further attacks.
